Sneak Peek of Our New Friendship Quilt Along
Yep, it’s time for a new quilt along and this year is all about Friendship! I can’t wait to piece and quilt these super scrappy quilt blocks with you. Click Here to find the first Friendship block pattern.
Yes, we will be going back to our traditional format of monthly blocks coming out the first of each month, just like our Sunrise Surprise and Flower Festival quilt alongs of 2015 and 2016. But here’s the thing: it’s not a mystery this time! You’ll see the finished quilt and for the first time ever, you’ll be able to quilt either a baby, throw, twin, queen, and even a king sized quilt.

Each month a new block pattern will be released on the 1st day of the month. Then I’ll share new quilting tutorials to guide you through piecing and quilting your super sized quilt blocks.
Friendship Quilt Along Schedule
1st Monday of the month – Piecing tutorial
2nd Monday of the month – Machine quilting tutorial on a home machine
3rd Monday of the month – Machine quilting tutorial on a longarm machine
No, you definitely don’t need a longarm machine in order to participate! All of the designs we’ll be quilting can be stitched on ANY type of machine. Since I’m making the king sized version of the quilt, I need to make two of each block anyway, so I figured I’d quilt each block on two different machines.
We’re launching this Friendship Sampler Quilt Along a little early this year. I find a lot of quilters love having a fun project to work on in December. Even if you can’t start right now, you can always catch up when you’re snowed in in January! Click Here to find the pattern for Block #1.
Let’s go quilt,
Leah Day
