Free Motion Quilting Challenge
It’s finally May and while I may be taking a vacation this month, I’ve definitely left you with more than enough to play with over at Sew Cal Gal’s Free Motion Quilting Challenge.
This month I’ve shared a tutorial on Foundational Designs, which are quite different from the Independent Designs we’ve been playing with this year, but if you’ve been practicing Stippling, I’m sure you’ll be able to master both designs easily.
Definitely head over to Sew Cal Gal’s site to check out the tutorial and give Double Stippling and Railroad Tracks a try!
Let’s go quilt,

OH MY GOSH, LEAH!!!!!! James is sooooo cute!!!! (What a great 'bonus' to an awesome video!)
– Angie
(P.S. So I keep reading I have to tie a knot first to bury with the threads but I like your method better! They really don't come out, right?)
Excellent tutorials at Sew Cal Gal! And, please know, you have definitely been upstaged by James!-D Hugs, Doreen
Leah – Your challenge is the best at SewCalGal – as always so complete and so helpful. The new designs look great – so nice of you to keep thinking of them! And little James – you are so lucky to have videos of him! It's been a while since we've gotten to see him on your site. Thank you so much! Hugs, June in San Diego
Leah, loved seeing your fabulous quilt in the background of your video, and James was absolutely adorable. Thanks for a great tutorial, I can't wait to try it out.
Hi Leah,
I just wanted to thank you so much for your fabulous videos! So far I've only had time to watch your first video for the FMQ Challenge, but I went searching the 365 videos for something to put in a center block on a tablerunner I just finished. I chose Day 130 Graphic Flower. It turned out fabulous–I'm very happy with it! I'm been following your blog for quite some time, but it's been reading and very little quilting. With sewcalgal's challenge, I've been trying more and more. And it's SO much fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I posted on my blog about the tablerunner.
I don't say this often enough- your website is an absolute treasure! I am learning (from being an absolute beginner) so much every time I visit, thank you for all your hard work and inspiration!
