Day 190 – Flame Spiral

Today is Anything Goes Thursday and I’m hankering for a new free motion quilting design.

Feather Universe had such a cool texture, I wanted to stitch it again, only this time I used flames instead of feathers to create Flame Spiral:

Difficulty LevelIntermediate. Watch your speed as you create this design. If you need to, mark the starting spiral and that can make it much easier to stitch.

Design Family – Foundational. This design is created by first stitching the foundational spiral, then filled with the flame shapes.

Directional Texture – Center Focused. You really can’t miss the giant bulls-eye of this design!

Suggestions for Use – This design could easily be used to quilt a whole quilt! Start in the center and stitch down your spiral, then fill it with flames for an awesome

Very interesting to see a design that you tweak to apply it to a circle. Very creative. I'll definitely give this one a try!
