Gold, Silver, and Bronze Busy Weekend
It’s been a very busy weekend with a Karate competition on Saturday. James won gold in kobodo, silver in fighting, and bronze for his kata!
It’s so exciting to see James compete! I competed with marching band through high school and it definitely made me more confident and comfortable getting up in front of crowds.
I’m looking forward to taking James to the Junior Olympics at the end of July. I think that will be the perfect time for a summer vacation too!
Today I’ve been tearing the house apart to rearrange my upstairs office and move the Qzone frame from one side of the room to the other.
No, it’s not really collapsible. It isn’t designed to be folded up and slid under a bed, but it’s far easier to move than my Continuum frame downstairs.
Of course this snowballed into clearing out winter clothes and pulling out summer stuff. At one point the hall, living room, and dining room were all filled with bags, bins, boxes, and random piles of quilting gear too.
All I can say is I’m happy that’s done and the house is mostly back to normal!
Now I’m off to take a hot bath because that was a workout. I earned a gold medal today in home organization!
Let’s go quilt,
Leah Day
Congrats to James! And to you, too, for the organizing. I need to do more myself.
It’s a continual effort to be sure! Thank you Danice!
Congrats James! What an accomplishment – and you look so darn cute too! Leah, I’m so inspired by all that moving and cleaning that I’ll be starting on my mess TONIGHT!
Thank you Linda! It was a very busy weekend and I’m so happy my messes are contained because it’s SO much easier to enjoy my home and my machines now that things are cleaned up.
Great job James! Wow! I am impressed!
Leah, you rock too! I need to get into my Spring cleaning mode. Well, we have been spring cleaning outside, and it’s been nice since the sun is finally, actually warming us up!
Yes, I know the feeling! While I was inside cleaning, Josh tackled the gutters and bubbling pots so everything is cleaned out and ready for rain. I do hope the sunny weather sticks around though!
