Amazing Applique with Kimberly Einmo

I recently “met” Kimberly Einmo in a Craftsy webinar and we immediately hit it off. She’s an awesome quilter and teacher and wonderfully supportive friend. I’m so thrilled to share her new Craftsy class Amazing Applique with you today!

This class is focused on applique, but the cool twist is most of the shapes are cut on the AccuQuilt Go cutter. Kimberly shows you how to quickly and easily cut shapes for piecing and applique from precut fabrics. It’s super fast cutting and easy construction – the best of both worlds!

Just in case you’re worried – you don’t have to have an AccuQuilt Go or Baby in order to make the beautiful quilts in this class. In the class course materials, the applique shapes are also provided in full size so you can trace, fuse, and cut the traditional way you prefer instead. Of course, cutting with a die cutter is much faster, but do understand that you can definitely take this class and make the amazing appliqued quilts even if you don’t have an AccuQuilt system.

What really made this class special to me was Kimberly’s applique stitching. She uses twin needles to zigzag finish the edges of her circle appliques. I haven’t seen twin needles used in years so this was a real treat to find an easy project to play with them!
