Leah has written several books including 365 Free Motion Quilting Designs, Explore Walking Foot Quilting with Leah Day, and Mally the Maker and the Queen in the Quilt.

    Leah, I just had to show my husband Josh's quilting, it is so brilliant. "Brave man" he said, then he suggested I should have a go with his router for a free hand routing session in his shed. No chance, he has always cried off from trying treadling.

    Thank you, thank you for this post about learning to quilt! Too often I get caught up in trying to get everything perfect and thus never finish anything. I think I will just go quilt now and have fun with it!

    I discovered you, by pure good fortune, two days ago and have been FMQ on every bit of fabric that I could. I have ordered a new foot, machingers and clips to hold my rolled quilt. This time next week I hope to have a project up and running.
