Prism Path Quilt Along Starts Today
So what’s on my machine today? This beautiful rainbow quilt!

This is my second time making Prism Path. The first version I pieced with cream colored fabric in the background and while I love this quilt, it didn’t really show the quilting designs very well.
I figure if I bother to quilt the design, you should be able to see it! I’ve made the Prism Path quilt all over again for this quilt along and this time used black fabric in the background. It’s made me fall in love with Prism Path all over again! It’s like a rainbow in the dark and makes all the batik fabrics show up even better.
So what is this whole Quilt Along Thing?
Basically if you’d like to make this quilt with me over the next 6 weeks, pull out some fabric and join in. You don’t need to sign up, register, or sell your soul, you just need to pick up a copy of the book Explore Walking Foot Quilting with Leah Day.
The pattern for Prism Path is in the book you see and you’ll need that pattern in order to make this quilt! Today we’re just getting started preparing and cutting fabric, so it’s the perfect time to jump into this project and make a baby quilt with me this spring.
If you want to make a quilt that’s identical to mine, you can find the same beautiful batik fabrics I used in the Rainbow Batik Fat Quarter Pack.
The thread colors I used are also included in the Machine Quilting Party Thread Set.
So what else will you need? Just the background fabric you like best, plus batting, backing, and your sewing machine. We’re going to piece and quilt Prism Path for the next 6 weeks and have a beautiful baby quilt at the end.
