Next Step for Prism Path Baby Quilt

Yes indeed, it’s time to take the next step on the Prism Path baby quilt along. He he…this is both a baby quilt along because it’s a baby quilt and because it’s really short – just 6 weeks from start to finish!

This week we’re piecing the strips sets and cutting pieces using a cool Bargello technique. I love this technique for piecing complex quilts that look like they are pieced from hundreds of little pieces. In fact, this is created with strip piecing and careful cutting.

If Prism Path looks a little too simple for you, I did stitch a Bargello quilt up a notch when I made the Waterfall Bargello Quilt a few years ago. This lets you know what you can do when you really go crazy with strip sets and cutting:

Honestly this is one of my favorite workshops to date because I made the quilt to hang in a specific place in my house. Every day I walk past this waterfall quilt and it makes me smile. The best quilts are the ones you use, that get worn out with love and attention!

Let’s go quilt,
