Dancing Butterfly Design #12 – Spiral Matrix

Here is a beautiful, mesmerizing design called Spiral Matrix! This is design # 12 in our Dancing Butterfly Quilt.

It may look difficult at first, but it’s really quite simple once you get a hang of it.

As you can see, spiral matrix begins as a wiggly grid with some Aztec-like square spirals within the wobbly checkerboard. This is one of my husband Josh’s favorite designs! Beyond the Dancing Butterfly quilt, this design would be absolutely perfect in an art deco inspired quilt.
