How to Piece a Four X Quilt Block – Mini Block Monday #4
We’re piecing it up a notch today with a fun Four X Quilt Block which combines BOTH half square triangles and hourglass squares. Make sure to watch carefully to see how to cut and piece all your units for this beautiful block:

You’re going to need both Half Square Triangles and Hourglass Squares for this Four X quilt block. Click Here to find a more detailed tutorial on piecing half square triangles.

You’ll want to trim these down to measure 1 1/2-inches square before piecing with the rest of your units.

I you original picture of this block there seems to be some extra seam allowance. Can you explain how you did that, I like the look!
Nope, that’s the normal amount of seam allowance around the block. Keep in mind, these are only 3 1/2 inches so the 1/4-inch seam allowance looks pretty big in the pictures!
What size thread are you using? 60 wt?
