Free Motion Quilting Inner Spiral – Dream Big Quilt Along #4

This week we’re setting our rulers aside and quilting Inner Spiral with regular free motion quilting. This is a great design to build your skills at echo quilting!

Click Here to find the Dream Big Guidebook – This is an optional guide to help you get ahead on this quilt along. You can learn which petals I turned into Double Petals and how the designs will fill the quilt panel each week. This guidebook also includes information on making both the Dream Big Quilt and Dream Big Jacket!

Quilting Homework for Week 4

Quilt Inner Spiral into several Dream Big petals. You will break thread with each petal you stitch so account for that as you plan your path through the quilt.

Dream Big Quilt Along Inner Spiral Design

Quilting Inner Spiral should be faster than the ruler designs we’ve learned so far. Don’t worry if your echo quilting isn’t perfect. I think subtle imperfections in your echo quilting will add to the organic look of the Dream Big flower petals.

If you’d like to know which petals I quilted with Inner Spiral, check out the Dream Big Guidebook here. This guide includes all the designs we will be quilting together as well and helpful diagrams to follow along.

Let’s go quilt,

    Hello

Does you Dream book have everything to complete this panel? What is in the book?

    • LeahDay says:

Yes, I shared a lot more tips for getting started as well as a diagram for each week’s design filled in the petals. So you’ll know which petals are filled with each design and how to turn the panel into a quilt or cut it up to create a quilted garment.
