How to Make a Patchwork Scarf on a Longarm Frame

Welcome back to another Frame Quilting Friday!

Today we’ll be making an awesome giant patchwork scarf on my Grace longarm and frame.

I’m stitching undulation on this scarf, a random echoing line. It will be very nice on the finished scarf!

One thing you’ll want to be careful of is watching your speed.

I chose to transition to tried-and-true stippling as the simple and easy design provides a nice contracting effect to undulation. No more than a half inch scale, about the width of my thumb, which is a great visual sign to maintain consistent scale.

Stay tuned for next week’s part 2 where I sew and finish this scarf project all on the frame!

Let’s go quilt,
