Another similar design is Super Daisy. Definitely give both of these motif quilting designs a try!
Difficulty Level – Beginner. I consider this a beginner design because the steps are so simple and easy to memorize.
Design Family – Center Fill. You start in the center of your quilt with this design and spirals out with just a bit of travel quilting on each petal.
Where to Quilt It? – Rose is a Rose is a quilting motif, meaning you can use this design as an accent or as the large scale design covering your whole quilt. It’s going to look best if you can place this design in an open, uncomplicated area where it has room to spread out.
I do like quilting Rose is a Rose as a circular design. If you continue stretching the motif outward, it will not look quite so much like a rose on your quilt.

Dear Leah, thank you for accepting me into your quilting friends. Have just had a quick scan around your site and the be flexible pod cast and feel that house will be on the back burner for a while. I have a couple of your quilting books but haven’t done too much quilting. I have used Westerlee rulers and fine ruler work really suits me. I have watched the video of your rulers and will be purchasing some in the near future.
I live in a lovely seaside town of Hervey Bay in Queensland Australia and spend too much time looking at YTube etc for ideas. I belong to The Country Women’s Association, we hold a craft morning each Tuesday where the ladies work on anything from simple to complicated embroidery, knitting and crochet etc and some patchwork. It keeps me busy.
