Deluxe Foot Set – This set includes two styles of walking feet, a darning foot, and a ruler foot! These are the feet I use for machine quilting on my Eversewn machine.

Click Here to check out the Grace Qnique 15R – This longarm is perfect for hobby quilters because it’s smaller, less expensive than you think, and easy to learn. The best thing about a longarm is it’s so much faster and easier to move over your quilt. But yep, it does take practice to be able to control it and stitch precisely!

I have my Qnique set up on the Q-Zone Hoop Frame. This frame can be set up as a sit down or standing frame. You can also use your home sewing machine on this frame and upgrade to a longarm machine later. Click Here to see how that works.

Difficulty Level – Beginner. When I designed this border, I was thinking of simple shapes that would easily stretch across a wide space. I’d never tried filling a border by bouncing a shape from one side, then angling from the opposite side and I think it worked really well here!

Design Family – Edge to Edge. Lovely Border bounces from one edge of your border to the other. I’ll have to think through how to quilt this over a corner. Hmm… I think that would need to be marked to be sure you turn the corner nicely without making an amoeba of your corner heart!

Where to Quilt It? – Lovely Border is meant to be machine quilted in your borders! This design quickly filled long, narrow space on my quilt perfectly.

Because Lovely Border needs a long, narrow space to look good, this won’t work as an All-Over quilting design. Instead stitch straight lines across your quilt, then quilt Lovely Border within.
