Piece a Pinwheel Quilt Block – Mini Block Monday #2

It’s Mini Block Monday time and I’m in the mood to piece an Pinwheel Quilt Block! This is a super simple, classic quilt block that should always be in your quilting toolbox. I can see making many dainty baby quilts with these 3-inch pinwheels!

Looking for a pattern for this Pinwheel Quilt Block? It’s all in the video! I’m trying something new with these Mini Block Monday videos and including all the information in the video itself. Just hit “pause” when you need to and write down the pieces to cut.

Is that just not your thing? Here’s a snapshot of the patchwork pieces to get you started:

Yep, this is another block that uses Half Square Triangles. I love these units because you never actually work with a real triangle! You can piece two for every two squares you stitch together. Click Here to find a more detailed tutorial on piecing half square triangles.

You’ll want to trim these down to measure 2-inches square before piecing with the rest of your units.

And here’s what it looks like when you finish your Pinwheel quilt block!
