For this article I shared a small feather diagram for you to trace and practice and instructions for quilting the feather two different ways. Josh sweetly agreed to stitch the feathers for the article and traced and quilted multiple times so I had plenty of ugly stitches to share.

Yes, it’s 100% normal to stitch feathers a bit wonky, lopsided, or just plain ugly in the beginning! Be patient and keep tracing and practicing and pretty soon you will find that perfect shape you’ve been looking for.
