Organizing the Office Casual Cam

I’ve caught the new year organizing bug! I’ve been tearing out closets and we’ve made multiple trips to the dump every day this week. It’s so nice to clean out and find space that was previously cluttered like crazy.

Here’s a quick casual cam with a few organizing tips for your computer desk:

Yep, this is me on a mission! Josh knows something is going to change when I grab the drill and now with that pesky shelf removed, I can stack bins easily all the way to the ceiling.

I wish I had a better habit for cleaning, but the truth is I really hate dusting and vacuuming, so it rarely gets done and then we end up with a big mess and a lot of dust that makes everyone crazy. At least now I can SEE the surface of my desk and have taken down all the cluttered sticky notes and taped up pages.

I’m planning to shoot more casual cams this week and weekend. What would you like to see?

You can find our complete collection of casual cam videos right here.

  1. Cleaning and purging can be so annoying and dull, but it is so worth it! I recently moved, so I spent months cleaning and purging. It's a little embarrassing to think of the amount of trips we took to the dump and to donation centers. But so nice to be rid of so much clutter! More space to sew and create!

Organizing my desk in my office would be a useful task indeed 🙂
I would love to see an update on Duchess Reigns in one of your casual cam videos. I was really excited when you started working on her again!

  3. Thank you for the inspiration!!! I need to do this so badly. I have tons of stuff that I want to donate, but I can't seem to come up with the motivation to do it. Good luck with your office organization. Have a super day!

I initiated "Project Purge" a couple of years ago when I started to become dissatisfied with my house. I realized it was the stuff and not the house that was the problem. Now there is always a "charity box" on the go where anything I don't use or don't need or have three of goes. It's an on-going process and it makes me so happy every time I find something else that can leave the house.
