Casual Cam – Thoughts as I finish Dancing Butterfly

Yes, just as you might be finishing your Building Blocks quilt, I am finishing my Dancing Butterfly Quilt so I can shoot photos of the full quilt tomorrow morning. Here’s a video of my thoughts and reflections at this unique moment of this project:

Yes, this quilt will be enjoyed by me and my family, but it’s now so much more than just another throw quilt or another bed quilt. So yes, I’m pretty grouchy about sitting through another hour of boring star stitch, but in another way I’m enjoying every last stitch and excited to see where this quilt will take us.

Let’s go quilt,

  2. Hello Leah! It's been a while since I've visited your blog. Thanks for the video. It sure hits home for me. My quilting has moved in a similar direction, so I can really relate. I love the way the star stitching is looking on the binding – it's adorable! Keep it up. Have a super day!

  3. I loved the food for thought, and the way you were making your time more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing, Leah!

Yes! It's good to keep reminding ourselves to enjoy the process. So easy to be doing one thing and be thinking about the next. I love to listen to my favourite radio podcasts while I'm doing stitching that doesn't require too much concentration. I come to associate what I've stitched to what I was listening to! Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter is very good company!
