62. Learn how to Quilt Wiggle Maze, #407

It’s quilting time! Here’s a design from the Craftsy class Free Motion Fillers Volume 2 that will look great in the sashing of your quilts:

You can also fit this into the background or hair sections of Express Your Love, but you have have to do some fiddling to get it to fit perfectly:

It’s pretty simple in the idea, but quilting this is definitely an exercise in precise travel stitching. The good news is you can sometimes hide little mistakes by adding more thread to the area. See what I mean in this video:

One other idea for using Wiggle Maze is to stitch it around the edges of a block, but don’t fill in the opposite edge. This will act like a wiggly frame for that block in your quilt and make it stand out dramatically on the surface!

This kind of reminds me of icicle lights, but without the extra stars added to the lines. I think it would really look great in any fall or winter themed quilts and if you quilted it in metallic thread it really would look like real icicle lights!

This just gave me a filler idea for some Christmas table runners I'm working on. Thanks!
