So sorry for the loss of your hard work. Things always looks especially bleak when you're not feeling well. Best to take care of yourself. Rest up. We are all rooting for you.

Not sure about the cost, but since the info is valueable and is necessary you may want to consider an off-site back up service. Still holding out hope that the video can be recovered. Unedited digital video files do take up an enormous amount of space.

Do not think of this in a bad way!! Real easy to do that, but try to find what is the good part of this whole thing – you wanted to make improvments and do some changes, now you can!!! This is going to be the best DVD on the market!! What has this taught you??? (I hate that question!!!) But really, this is not the disater you could think it is – find the good in it.
And, yes, take yourself to bed and rest, rest, and rest some more!!!! Get better!!! That is the most important thing to do right now. so, take the whole weekend and baby yourself and get rid of this flu!!!!

Having survived a hard drive disaster, I know how you are feeling- sort of. (My lost project wasn't anywhere near as huge as yours)
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Take some time to rest and feel better. Eat some chocolate- it's THE cure all!

You have REALLY been through the ringer! Good grief.

  8. I hope you feel better!! Good luck with the hard drive issue!!

Have you considered an online backup service like Carbonite? That would be fairly safe from broken drives, etc.

Kim Komando, the Computer expert on the radio swears by it. So do some of my fiends.

Just a suggestion. If I had valuable info, I'd use it. Just a thought…

    HUGS!

Seems the old adage 'when it rains, it pours' applies here. Hope you have someone making you hot tea and honey. Stay warm and don't worry – that can make you sick!

When my hard drive went on my computer it costs $280 to retrieve all my files. Work paid for it but it was worth it! They were able to get everything! Pictures, documents, pdf files and they did a good job. Sorry to hear it happened to you too. Lisa

I just got my data recovered from a crashed hard drive from these folks: http://www.datahounds.com.

It cost me $290 total. They were very quick. I mailed the drive on 12/23 and the data was ready by 12/31. You do have to pay via PayPal before they send the recovered data.

Look after yourself Leah and take time to feel strong and well again.
