Feather Blocks on Point – Christmas Tree Quilt – Part 3

It’s time to quilt a feather block on point using QCT 5! I knew I wanted to fill the background around my Christmas Tree with something fun, both to make the stars stand out and to reduce the amount of time consuming background quilting I’d need to do. The solution – Maximized Feather Blocks stitched with Quilter’s Creative Touch over the stars!

Quilting Feather Blocks on Point with QCT 5 in my Christmas Tree Quilt

I’m now using Quilter’s Creative Touch 5 Pro, but everything you saw in this video will work exactly the same with the Beginnings software level too.

The designs I’m using over the stars are from my Maximized Feather Blocks collection. I’m using the Tear Drop Flower and Feather Wreath over the stars and I think these designs are just perfect in these areas!

Check out my quilting system with the Qnique 21 and Continuum Frame. Yep, I still love this setup, though I’m thinking hard about breaking down my frame again and expanding it another 2 feet to be a 12 foot frame.

No, this Christmas Tree quilt is not available as a pattern. This is not a quilt along. This series is just a collection of videos to inspire you to play with many designs and techniques in your quilts. Enjoy!

Let’s go quilt,
