I wanted to buy this fabric.. But I like to know before I put the order.. will 1 yard show me all of the design? If I like to get fat quarter size, will it show all of the design too?

Hi, I've just ordered the quilt top and as I am in England it gives me over a week to practise outlining and techniques before it arrives. Can't wait to get started!

Leah…I noticed your black Goddess quilt had all ofthe orange sections filled in, but I only could find 5 that you mentioned…did I miss something is it coming later?
    Thanks

  4. Leah Day says:

Hi Suzanne – The orange sections are filled with Zigzag Spiral, Wiggle Wiggle Spiral, Hot Hot Spiral, Loopy Doopy Spiral, Cyber Spiral, and Basic Spiral. Just search for each of these names and you should find each one.

Surikraft – If you order 1 yard, yes, you will get the complete design. Right now this is sized to only 1 yard, so no, if you order a fat quarter, you will not get the complete design.

    Cheers,

    Leah

In your very early videos I notice the pointer finger of your machingers were very worn. Besides applying light pressure (squishing down) do you also put more pressure on your pointer fingers…the "drivers" so to speak?

    Hello Leah!

I ordered the Express Your Love fabric panel back in January but it was only after watching your video about outlining did I feel confident enough to start today. I have spent several hours outlining and am feeling pleased with myself. Thank you for taking the time to start right back at the basics!!

I also ordered the panel and am looking forward to doing this project just for me. You mentioned only using isacord silky white. Is that what you started with on this panel? The hair looks so golden. Very pretty!

  8. Leah Day says:

Pam – Yep, I'm only using white thread for this. Unfortunately my camera doesn't always white balance perfectly, but rest assured I'm using the exact same white throughout. It's SO much easier to quilt through without changing colors all the time!

    Cheers,

    Leah

I love the affect the white is having with the colored panels and like you said it will be so much easier to stick with one color. Thank you for all you instruction, time spent with doing the tutorials and inspiration.

    Have a great Day!
    Pam
