Binding Craftsy Class
Binding is one of those things that can be tough to master. We build skills for piecing, applique, and free motion quilting, but the binding is always the last step and tricky to practice on anything other than a quilt that is NEARLY done. I’ve fiddled with fabric many times trying to get this technique to work, but never found a method that worked consistently. Mimi breaks down this process and even shows how to fold the corners so the binding finishes perfectly all around!
Personally I’ve found myself in a rut with binding – I know how to do it, but I rarely push beyond the basic turned edge binding. My husband bought me this course for Christmas. I think binding is the hardest part of the process. I have started the course but have not gotten too far. I need to get back to it before I bind another quilt.

I did a Tutorial on my blog about simulating the binding, bringing forward backing fabric.
