Ruler Quilting a Wavy Border Design

Today I’m ruler quilting a wavy border design! Learn how to quilt these evenly spaced curving lines with the Super Slide Ruler:

Quick links to things in the video:

Janome Horizon 8200 Sewing Machine – This machine has an 11 inch harp space which will give you ALMOST 8 inches of quilting space on the frame. This means you can quilt 7 1/2 inch blocks or borders on this frame with no problem!

Super Slide Quilting Ruler

Hoop Frame Pro – This fun frame is designed to fit into small spaces, but still quilt big quilts. If you have 4 1/2 feet of space in your sewing room, you can fit this frame and begin quilting your quilts faster and easier.

Sure Stitch Regulator – This keeps my stitches consistent so I can focus on moving the machine! This also gives me a button to control the machine on the handlebar, rather than using the machine’s foot pedal.

Super Slide Ruler – This ruler has a long, continuous curve that’s designed to quilt perfectly spaced lines like these. You’ll also get the same curve on both sides of the ruler which makes it easy to turn the ruler around. This helps you keep the ruler stable because your hand can stay right in the middle rather than having to grip the outer edges.

And just in case you’d like to learn about the other machine I had on my frame, Click Here to see quilting on the Janome 1600 on a hoop frame.
