Piecing on the Janome 1600 Home Machine

This week I’m piecing on the Janome 1600 home machine and playing with a new patchwork foot. Learn how to piece with this foot and how I modify it to make it work best for me:

Note – I’ve recently updated this post with affiliate links to Amazon.com. I make a small commission if you decide to purchase a Janome 1600 sewing machine or feet from these links, at no additional cost to you.

Click Here to find this patchwork foot. This foot is definitely compatible with the Janome 1600 and HD9. This foot might also work with the Juki TL, Brother 1500, Babylock Jane / Accomplish because these are all high speed, lockstitch machines as well. However, we are only dealers for Janome machines and only guarantee compatibility of this foot with the Janome 1600 and Janome HD9.

Just in case you missed the unboxing of the Janome 1600, here’s that video too:

Click Here to check out the Janome 1600P. This home sewing machine is capable of 1600 stitches per minute. It is a straight stitch machine – no zigzag, no decorative stitches. But as I explained in the video, this makes this machine much better at precision sewing and machine quilting!

Be looking forward to more videos on the Janome 1600 sewing machine and how you can expand its capabilities for quilt piecing and machine quilting with beautifully designed feet and accessories.

Let’s go quilt,

P.S – Yes, we will be back with more Mini Block Monday tutorials next week! I’m planning to alternate Mini Block Monday with Machine Monday tutorials so we can continue learning precision piecing and geek out on new machines as well.

Your tip for using the Supreme Slider in front of the machine is brilliant! I used my small one yesterday while sewing on a border and it made it so much easier. Thank you.
