How to Piece a Scrappy Pinwheel Quilt Block
This month we have a super simple Scrappy Pinwheel block to make for the Friendship Quilt Along! I’m sure you’ll enjoy piecing this block as much as I did, especially after how scrap-heavy and intense the last two blocks were. Learn how to piece this pinwheel block with me in this quilting tutorial:

I used 16 precut small squares to create the Scrappy Pinwheel block. I first pieced them into Half Square Triangles, and then into super half square triangles. Click Here to watch the video on how to make half square triangles.
Then you’ll be adding a row of tiny half square triangles. Be sure to double and triple check the pattern to make sure these babies are going in the right direction.
This Scrappy Pinwheel block is super simple and fast to piece, so make sure to use the extra time you have this month to catch up on past blocks. If you’ve fallen behind, make sure to set aside time this month to catch up with us so you’ll have all your blocks ready to put together in November.
As always, you can join the Friendship Sampler Quilt Along at any time and work at your own pace. The videos will always be available! Click Here to see all the videos shared so far. (You’ll need to scroll about halfway down the page.)
Next Monday we’ll be quilting the pinwheel scrap block on our home machine, utilizing walking foot quilting.
Let’s go quilt,
