I had the same issues with my knee lifter and took it out a few months ago. I kept bonking it and I was worried about hurting the machine. The problem is – now that I have it out, I realized I used it a little bit – but not enough to put it back in 😛

I use the knee lifter a lot, but I think it's poorly placed on the Janome 6600. I'd prefer it closer to my knee … either the angle of the handle should be more to the left, or the hole should be. I don't find it to be an inconvenience …. so make me one vote in favor of the knee lifter … I suspect I'll be out voted though.

Poor Jpsh, I am really impressed with your progress. You are doing a great job. Watching you staying calm and getting better and better, your support for Leah is so heartwarming. You are a remarkable man. So few husbands would go public with this process, let alone even try. Keep up the good work, you guys have a special place in my heart. Leah's carefull and encouraging instruction has really helped me improve my quilting. Bye from Texas.
