Josh’s Circles & Stairs
No April Fool’s joke this year, sorry! This is Josh today with some circles & stairs in a rail fence block.
I am quilting on preprinted fabric, which you can pick up here at Spoonflower.com.
I began with the hardest sections of the block, which were the corner circles. In retrospect, putting on some extra scrap fabric on the end would have been extremely helpful.
Nothing too technically difficult here, especially with the stair designs. Watching the video I wish I had done a little extra here, maybe stitch two spirals within the central circles.
It was a lot of fun stitching out the best circle I’ve done to date.
Curved shapes do not come easily for me, but I feel I am getting better. And the secret is practice and working through the more difficult designs and blocks.
Here’s what it looks like when you quilt circles & stairs:
Until next week, let’s go quilt!

Josh you said In retrospect, putting on some extra scrap fabric on the end would have been extremely helpful. You can always quickly, easily, and temporarily add some extra grab room in the corners by applying painters tape. Easy on, easy off, nice and stiff and stable.
