Leah, is the thick white along side the feathers paint or thread? It really adds a lovely effect.

  2. Leah Day says:

Jessim – It's ALL freaking thread! At this point, I really wish it was paint. That would be faster…I'm off to get another spool and another 25 bobbins wound. Lol.

I am blown away by how much thread she is absorbing but then I remind myself you are 'painting' her with thread. So of course, it takes a lot of thread to make her so gorgeous.

Wow- that is amazing! Your thread build up is so even, I really didn't know it was thread!

Every time I see your progress I am blown away. I, too, have been wondering just how you are getting that wonderful effect with the feathers. It's just amazing. I know it's advanced FMQ, but would you consider showing us?

    Please?

  6. It is so amazing. The quilting is so wonderful.
Thanks for keeping us all in the loop of your progress.
I hope you will enter it in a show that's close to me so I can attend and see it in person.

You certainly are getting lots and lots and lots of practice! Which must be getting into automatic mode now. Love your work!

Your quilting is amazing, I love seeing photos of Duchess Reigns.

I have a dress I started unpicking to alter the fit and now that I've left it for years (oops) I need to sew it back together as it was because it seems to fit now. At least I know for the future that I can use the pattern as is. You have inspired me to pull it out and get on with it.

Wow! your quilting is just breathtaking! I can't wait to see it all finished in October.

Love that shirt. The armhole is always a problem area for me too. Sometimes the neck too.
