Quilting Design #22 – Double Pebble
Learn more about this Double Pebble Quilting Design:
Inspiration: Now that we’ve reached the double digits, a very weird thing is happening. I’m still getting amazing ideas for new free motion quilting designs, but I’m also coming up with terrific variations. It’s really cool how you can change only one thing about a design and come up with an entirely new texture!
Difficulty Level: Intermediate. Pebbling is a pretty challenging design not so much because it’s difficult as it’s time consuming. Double pebble is also pretty slow, but does seem fast than pebbling.
Design Family – Stacking.
Directional Texture: No directions. This is another flat, organic fill design that would look great over the background of a large area. Just make sure it’s not too large or you’ll be quilting it forever!
Suggestions for Use: I can see using Double Pebble in the centers of flowers, within and around scrollwork designs, and definitely in the bottom of a landscape quilt.
Let’s go quilt,

This is the greatest. I have a tendency to break into a cold sweat each time I try to free motion. Being able to actually SEE it gives me some hope that I can do this, too. Think I'll make up some quilt sandwiches and get to practicing!! Thank You.
I've just found this thanks to DreamWeaver's Quilts, what a brilliant idea! But now I have to decide whether to follow your year or take up the challenge for myself!
What a wonderful endeavor you have set out to share with us. Thank you so much. I have viewed all of your posts up to date and am amazed how you can keep changing each day.
I added you to my Google Reader so I don't miss a one.
Once again….Thank You for taking the time to share your talent.
I love checking in to see what you are doing each day. I recently took a machine quilting class and haven't done a real project yet. I'm designing the quilting for a first project, just have to get the sandwich together. You inspire me to get to work. Thanks for the inspiration. My favorite part is the videos. I don't know how hard they are, but they are the sizzle of your blog!
Thank all of you so much for commenting and letting me know how the blog is changing your quilting! I appreciate it more than you can possibly know!
